Love for Language

English Language has always been the subject I loved to study the most. As a teenager I used to write a lot of essays and poems to improve my skills. Whenever I learnt a new Idiom or a Paraphrase I would be over the moon.

On April the tenth, two thousand I wrote a piece of essay using some of the Paraphrases I learnt in that preceding week.

Last Christmas

I felt like it was the month of Saturdays, as I was waiting for the Christmas to come. It was left with only one week, but unfortunately my father was out on a business trip so we had to do without him. I drew up all my plans and discussed with my sister. I thought I would give my mother a surprise, but my sister upset the apple cart, so I thought of giving up the game.Time passed by. Everyone got ready and packed gifts, decorated the house. Mother baked wonderful Christmas cookies and the place smelled with a wonderful smell.

Couple of hours later, I received a piece of note. It was addressed to me. So I checked through it. But I couldn't make it out. What I could only read was the name. It was Susan my best friend. Within two days I saw Susan in my place. I was surprised. She explained me all in a nutshell and I did not want to make up (to settle a quarrel) and to give a short shift. She taught me many new games that are played in Switzerland, for Christmas.

On the night of Christmas all of us had our dinner together, after prating the God. But Susan wolfed down her meal and went down the stairs to watch television. Our customs and traditions differ from Susan's. My grandparents were upset! After having our dinner we enjoyed the music played by my grandmother, sang Christmas songs and after that we opened up the gift parcels. I got a lovely teddy bear with red shoes. Susan got the parcel I packed for my sister. We spent our times laughing and dancing. I enjoyed last Christmas.

Happiness

"Happiness..."  This is a simple word that describes one of the most wonderful feelings in the emotional roller coaster of life. We welcome happiness by letting go of the stubborn ego, the harsh anger and the terrible jealousy. By embracing life with passion and hope we can bring out exciting changes to our lives. Happiness cannot be touched, seen or measured. It is intangible. But happiness can be seen from the behavioural changes of the person who is happy.

We tend to see the beauty of life when we are happy. The happier we are, our lives turn out more positive, more joyful and more interesting. We venture into new things that we hadn’t cared to experience when we were less happy or rather; unhappy.

Positive impact on our lives reflects positivity on the people around us; at home, at work and among the friends who we hang out with. As the practice of spreading happiness progress, it would help build motivation among all of us, starting from ‘within’ ourselves. It is because when you become so happy; that when others look at you, they become happy too.

Sometimes we depend too much on others to make us happy and to bring happiness into our lives, but basically; our happiness is in our own hands... We are responsible for our happiness. If we choose to be happy, we will find our way to be happy! Don’t look for happiness, create it! Like they say, happiness is an inside job! You don't need a reason to be happy, make yourself; your health, your well-being, your blessings; the happiness of yourself.

Let us all make sure we never go back to the unhappy situation, instead try and make our lives as happy as we can make it! Keep smiling and move forward. As we all know a smile is a curve that sets everything straight.

Eager for your Arrival...

 The best news for me in 2014 was that I would be an Auntie, for the very first time in my life. Alhamdhulillah!!!! "Wow!" That was the happiest news ever… such a great feeling, Ma Sha Allah! It cannot be expressed in words. Can't wait to hold the teeny tiny baby in my hands In Sha Allah and wrap around myself.

Oh Gosh!!! The baby is taking too long to arrive, it seems like the time as struck since last August.

But hey, finally it’s the third trimester… crossing my fingers I’m hoping it’s gonna be a girl, In Sha Allah! But it doesn’t really matter… A boy or a girl, auntie would spoil the baby and give so much love and attention,
In Sha Allah, Aameen!

My 50^th post is so special, I’ve dedicated it to my special new member that would join my family in no time, In Sha Allah….

Never Give-up!

We are weak creatures who give up quickly when we don't achieve our goals. This would give power to "the others". To those who do not want us to succeed in the game of life. They are those who would keep on wishing we fell down on every attempt we made. We must not give in to the weakness and accept failure; instead we must target the unseen huge victory ahead of us.

Letting down our enemies by our great success is the real triumph of our lives... Let us all keep our heads up high and never look down or behind and keep on moving forward!

We can succeed simply with a positive attitude! Just keep on climbing the stairs without the fear of falling down.

Because we all know, with the right attitude and courage no one can fail us!

Cruelty

The world is a beautiful, peaceful place. It only becomes a harsh, cruel place by the evil doings of some people who live in it. By the immoral acts of who wants to rule the world according to their desires.

These people make living out of other people's lives. Snatching everything that belongs to others. Happiness, health, wealth and creativity. They believe they are superior and above everyone else. They think everything must belong to them and just only them.

They must have it. Doesn't matter HOW!!! Casting spells and performing Black Magic is the most common mean.

Their hearts have a huge hole that can never be filled. Nothing ever satisfies them. They keep on feeding from other people's belongings. Whatever the less fortunate person has, must be owned by them... They always think that "the grass is greener on the other side, much greener!"

I believe they are more inauspicious than those who are labelled as the underprivileged. They only follow the footsteps of others and hijacks what is not theirs! Come on, get a life... Why are they after something which is very temporary?

As we know that we will be rewarded fairly for our deeds, cruelty will also be penalized on fair grounds! 

Inspiration...

I have been waiting for some kind of inspiration, a drive to motivate myself to do something creative! Haven’t been able to get hold of one; for quite a while. Yesterday after a busy busy day at work, I felt like posting something on my bloggie. So, I posted one article which a very dear friend of mine gave me. Now that an article has been posted, I want to keep my blog up to date and keep posting…

Inspiration comes in so many various ways. Let’s take a look around us, we’ll find tiny things that can bring out drastic changes in our lives. I realized I had given up on my skills. I should not have let go of my interest. Now that I don’t write much, I’m out of touch!

I made a promise to myself that I’ll make an effort to write, draw and blog and to try and improve on my creativity, like how I had done on my very early days of blogging… Just like the earth looks much better after a heavy storm!

My life has not been quiet itself for a pretty long time. I feel like it has become dull and lifeless, until recently. That’s when I met you. When I had completely given up on love, you appeared and have brought the unexpected twist. Our very first conversation had captivated me. Your charming gestures grabbed all my interest totally on to you. Day and night I keep thinking and dreaming about you. Each thought of you makes me smile, it brightens my day. Apparently you have become the only thing that’s on my mind constantly for the past couple of weeks. I’ve tried to figure out the reason what makes you so special to me. However, I’m still unable to make it out. I don’t know whether I mean anything to you but you’ll always be the very special one for me. And I’ll always cherish you dearly in my heart. Creativity…

Human; in nature are each different from one another. Every human being is unique in her own line of attack…

Creativity is something that is inborn with every human, yet creativity is defined in various ways by individuals. Creativity should be woken up, taken outside and discovered instead of leaving it to rest in peace or sleep, rot badly inside our brains!

Interest for Art, Music, Photography, Literature plus other artistic related stuff comes from the creativity instinctive with us. I believe creativity gets awakened by inspirations… An inspiration to do something! Inspirations may come from a person or something we see… or maybe even the situation can be inspiring for a person to do something!

Right now, in my mind; there are lots and lots of stuff I wish to do to develop my creativity… Wanting so badly to go home and do make-up on my little cousin sis and take some portraits of her, take pictures of all the cute collections of mine, start drawing up like old times and designing costumes, write poetry… ugh… all my favourite pastime activities some few years back! My inspiration to advance my talent just occurred due my boredom, damn!

Disguise…

Disguise… it is something people do… although, not very often!

A disguise is to change the appearance so as to conceal the identity. It sometimes is to cover up the truth or the actual character. A person can disguise herself very easily with the help of a veil! Veils or masks are coverings as of cloth or an alternative material that entirely or partly conceals the face… enabling to disguise easily!

There are people who are capable of making a disguise even without the usage of a mask… it is the disguise of character, their personality! These people disguise their characters by hiding the wrongful doings and presenting a sweet, gentle and humbling character in front of others. They are the so-called double-faced people.

To their misfortune, those who execute good are capable of unveiling their evilness!

Morale: It is always thoughtful to leave the people who don’t do any harm, unharmed…

Future...

'Future' is the term used on things that are foreseen to happen in time to come. When we were younger we never imagined how drastically things were to change... had anticipated everything will be calm and smooth as they used to be.

After growing up, we only realize there never was a time where things would have been so calm, so smooth. Its just as kids we are unaware of the things that happen around us and are unable to predict our future....

Future is that 'one' simple yet strong word that alarms us to be prepared, that the worst is yet to come and it might happen in just split seconds!

We all must always be prepared that there may not be a tomorrow to wake up to... We must always make the maximum of the today that we live in; as there may never be a tomorrow!

Its high time that we all face the reality, and accept all the facts... Future is unpredictable!

Cosmetic Foundations, Foundation Powders, and Other Face Make Up

Loose Powder Colors

Pressed Powder Foundations

Pressed cosmetic foundations give a smooth, matte finish to the skin that helps control shine. It can be applied with either a damp or dry sponge. At first, it takes practice to use the right amount of powder.
This type of foundation works for all skin types and is easy to carry around since it's not as messy as loose powder. This makes it quick and handy for touch ups. It is available in more shades than loose powder.
When choosing a shade, get one as close to your foundation color as you can and use lightly since it tends to accumulate on your skin during touch ups.

Pressed Powder Colors

Liquid Foundations

These usually offer light to medium coverage, can be applied using a sponge and are available in a wide range of colors that can be mixed to obtain in-between shades to match your skin tone (only mix cosmetic foundations of the same brand). Because liquid foundation is a more lightweight finish than compact it tends to be easier to use on dry skin. It is also best applied using cosmetic sponges.
To avoid a streaky finish place a very small amount of foundation on sponges and always brush over with powder. The powder helps the cosmetic foundations last longer.
Make sure you get the right cosmetic foundations for your skin type - choose an oil-based foundation for dry skin, water-based foundation for normal skin, and 'oil-free' foundation for oily skin. You can apply moisturizer 5 to 10 minutes before beginning your face make-up application.


Liquid Foundation Colors

Cream Foundation

When using a cream-based cosmetic foundations, concealer may be applied either before or after the foundation. Use a wedge-shaped latex sponge and light strokes to apply the foundation across the face.

You can tell how a cream will cover by how it feels to the touch. The thicker and heavier it feels, the more it covers. So if it feels slightly dry it offers light to medium cover. Very rich creams are used for stage.
Try not to cover too thick with cream foundation or it may look artificial and draw attention to itself.

Concealer

Concealer provides extra cover to specific areas of the face that require more cover than that provided by cosmetic foundations alone such as dark circles under the eyes, a pimple, tiny veins, or redness at the sides of the nose. Concealer also offers a good base for eye shadow when applied to the eyelids.
Concealers generally come in stick, liquid, or cream form. For blemishes, a thick dry stick concealer is good; liquid concealers are thin and runny; cream works for almost everything and everyone.
Concealer should be one or two shades lighter than your cosmetic foundations and have the same undertone (go two shades lighter for very dark circles). Concealer comes in a limited number of shades.

Storyteller’s Twisted Tale…

Every night before I rest off to sleep, I was told a beautiful fairy tale or a Maldivian tale; when I was little. The magical touch of the fairy dust from the wand put me to sleep like I’m in heaven. As days passed by, I raised interest in narrating the tales and singing them Lullabies and Nursery Rhymes to my folks. Like wise, I started recording my stories for programs at the National Radio Station when I was a little older. One Friday afternoon I went for the recording; started my story and carried on. When I reached almost the end of the story, the red bulb switched on; which meant that the recording is paused. The recording technician told me to re-think what I was saying. I thought about what I was saying a lot of times and then continued, but each time the red bulb kept switching on. After about ten attempts or more, the technician asked me to continue. I carried on it the end. One week later when it was aired; all my family (mum, cousins and aunties) were laughing and making fun of what I read. It didn’t ring a bell to me then… but long long time after that, when I was in my late teen; it striked to me what I said that day at the studio and how funny it was… then I laughed my head off… I read a story about a little girl, her mother and a tiger that day.

The story goes as follows:
.........Long Long ago… deep down in the forest lives a little girl and her mother. Every day mother goes out for work leaving the girl alone at home. Since they live isolated from the people, they don’t have any neighbours to look after the girl until her mother returns home. And there lived a big tiger in the forest… in a tree just near their home. The tiger is keen to eat the little girl up. So he knocks on the door and waits outside till she opens. But mother has told the girl not to open the door unless it’s her mother. So she doesn’t open the door. She says she won’t open the door; she opens only for her mother. So this tiger thought he must learn her mother’s voice. The tiger knocks on the door and speaks up but the girl is clever that she knew it was not her mother. The same day she told her mother what happened, when she returned from work. Her mother got a very good idea, she told the girl to tell the tiger that come home tomorrow, and she’ll fry up a goat head and keep for him and told the tiger that it tastes wonderful. Tiger is very excited about this fried goat head. Next morning her mother buys a BIG IRON BALL from the market and cooks it till very hot. Mother pretends she has gone for work and gets back in the house without seeing to the tiger. The tiger imitates the mother’s voice and calls to open the door. Then the girl opens the door and the tiger opens his mouth to eat the fried goat head and the mother puts the BIG HOT IRON BALL into the tiger’s mouth and he cries to death…

Umm… well that is the story in short… does anyone want to know what I said that day at the recording…

I said, that the mother cooked a BIG RUBBER BALL and put it in the tiger’s mouth! "Dhen e rabaru Boalha kakkafa tiger ge anga ah lee yo..."Just imagine a rubber ball will melt before it got cooked… and its a joke... I made a big fool out of myself!

But I suppose that’s a good twist to the original story… hehe… *blush* *blush*

One person wrote a letter to his wife:

The wife replied after some days to her husband:

Dearest Hubby,

Thanks for your 100 kisses, I am sending the expenses details.

1. Milk man was agreed on 2 kisses
2. Teacher agreed on 7 kisses
3. Our house owner is coming every day and taking two or three kisses of mine.
4. Vegetable and food shop keeper was not agreeing with kisses only, so I have given some other items to him.........
5. Others 40 kisses.
Please don't worry for me, I have balance 35 kisses and I hope I can complete this month.
Shall I plan same way for next months, Please advise?????????
